Meet the Team

Charlie West

I was born in, raised and continue to live in Mason City. I was in the Marine Corps for 8 years while becoming a full time mechanic. I opened Charlie’s Auto Repair in 1996 after working for a local dealership and an independent repair shop for 10 years. I am an A.S.E. certified Master Technician. The passion I have for helping people and the automobile is what drives me everyday. I’m proud to be on the Mason City Honor Guard and a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League and numerous activities for the Veterans. My wife Julie and I have 3 great children. When I have spare time I enjoy going to races, fishing, golfing and just hanging out with friends and family.

Jacie West

I have been around cars pretty much my whole life (since Charlie is my dad!). I started working at Charlie’s full time after I graduated in 2022. I am an assistant to Charlie and learning so much every day. I have inherited his love for cars and passion for helping people. I really enjoy the classic cars! I also help at the All Vets Center in Mason City and other military activities. In my free time I love to roller skate and going to races throughout the U.S. helping alongside Dad work on the pit crew of his friends race cars.

I am a Mason City native and have been around cars most of my life. My grandfather, Jim and my uncle, Brett (Cookie) had auto body shops in Mason City and I’m continuing in the automotive field at Charlie’s Auto since 2022. I enjoy working on and modifying my personal vehicles, hunting, fishing and rooting for the Minnesota Vikings.

Tanner is working part time at Charlie’s while finishing his schooling. He started racing go carts when he was 6 years old and most recently had been racing mini mods. He has been working on cars alongside his dad, Matt, who has been with Charlie’s Auto since 2011. His hobbies include RC racing and golfing. In his spare time he does lawn care and snow removal.
